Serious Phone Dump.

Ice cream with cousins.
A highlight.

Blurry...but worth it.
These are the best times.
Ever.

Shawn has been pretty busy recruiting this year,
but he manages to sneak in whatever time he can with the kids.
Even if its on the clock.
I give him a hard time but he knows I support whatever he has to do.
Like this here...he HAD to go to the mens game with a recruit.
Rough.
Thats what I mean...I give him a hard time ;)
Im allowed to!

These eyes with one day make another girl completely crumble....besides his mother.
I can hardly stand the thought,
BUT,
I know it will happen.

Oh Mayci Jo.
I whipped out my phone so fast to capture this pose.
One foot up...one foot down.
Spent many hours huddled like this myself.
Ive always said if any of my kids play it'll be her.
Maybe this is a very early sign that its in her blood.
This was quite possibly,
hands down,
one of the best days of my life.
I laughed for 40 minutes.
Mayci kept looking over her shoulder at me, with a shy tilt of the head and a cute little smile, almost as if she was asking:
"Mom, are you so proud of me?!"
THEN...she scored.  An 'own goal'.
And I cheered my little heart out, and clapped and screamed in excitement, and pumped my fists!
And yelled at the top of my lungs, 'GOOD JOB MAYCI!! YOU SCORED!! YAAAAHHHH"...
Giving her every signal of pride and joy...
as she jogged back in place - smiling at me from ear to ear.

Then when they set the ball down in the middle of the field to start play, I kindly gestured to her which goal she needs to try to score in next : )

Just a buzz for the summer.
Why not.
And yes...the top circle on my cheek - is a big ol' zit.
Bottom dot...a freckle.
Keepin it real ya know.

Mayci is wearing her new shirt from her incredibly talented and gifted aunty Rachel.
She has started making clothes again...and they are so amazing.
The shirts don't even make it from the dryer to their baskets...before its on them.

Evan kept asking me to look at him, but I kept explaining to him that I was driving and couldn't look behind me.  He kept asking.  Finally, I got to a stop light and turned to see why he was begging me to look.
He was resting his head on Wesly's chair, while she was caressing his head.
As you can see in Evans face...he didn't want to move because first of all she was quiet.
And second...it must've felt good ; )
He is THEE worlds best big brother.
And little brother for that matter.

Another huddle quite different from soccer, and one Im not so familiar with.
But what a cute bunch, and Mayci has a blast with her little friends.
And her teacher, well, she is SO SO GOOD.
Mellow.  Sweet.  Caring.  Patient.  Energetic.  Happy.
Always happy.
And yes...mellow AND energetic.
Mellow in every avenue you would want a dance instructor to be mellow in...
And Energetic in every sense of the word!
Its quite a feat, and seems an impossible balance.  But she does it...and...
WE love her.

When dad is away, I assign Evan to be in charge of Mayci and Raegan to be in charge of Wesly...at bedtime.
Evan gets her in her jammies, helps her brush her teeth (with just a bit of help from me), tucks her under her blankets...
and reads to her.
Like 14 books.
Its so agonizing to break this up.
Its just...
perfect.
So...instead of a home phone we got a walkie talkie.
Not really.
But mine as well have.  Its a super old flip phone but it does its job...and only its job.  Text and call.  And thats it.   But what a dream it has already been.  Eased a few burdens round here.
The other day I had to take Evan into the Dr.  It was later in the afternoon which meant Raegan would arrive home from school to an empty house.  When I called her while she was at school to let her know (and make sure I wasn't getting too ambitious:) she seemed excited to be home alone and use the 'new' phone to keep in touch with me.

side note:
I did let a neighbor know and I did tell her that it was quite possible she would show up at her house shortly after school was out.

Moving on.  I was in the Dr's office and got a ring.  It was Rae.
Long story short.
Raegan stayed at home.  Alone.  For a good 60-90 minutes.
THIS...is a straight up achievement!
Gold medal.  First place.
HUGE!
But the best part is in one of the 10 calls I received from her (yes, probably 10, ill take it!)
I let her know Evan had strep.
After Evan tested positive I had them check Wesly too - ended up having to do a breathing treatment right then and there in the office and was sent home with a prescription for a nebulizer and breathing treatments every 4-6 hours.
ANYWAY (not a long story short...its a long story long!)
I let Evan was fiddle around with my phone, poor sick Evan - he was so patient while sick as a dog.
Finally we finished up.  Packed up.  Got home.  After I gave Rae a big huge hug telling her how proud I was of her I asked her where the phone was and when she handed it to me this is was what I found.
Pictured above.
Raegan:  Sorry evan love you
Evan: I love you raegan love Evan
Texting each other.  The sweetest little tender moment.
And I broke a little...not gonna lie.
Long appointment.
Proud moment.
And precious notes.
Too much for this mama's heart...all at once.

Yup.
Dug these up...and had to share.
I remember both moments clear as day.
Oh how old we are all getting!!
And...that top pic - minus the static white hair = BECKHAM!

How glorious is the sun?!?
Its this glorious.

More shirts from auntie Rachy.  She asked me to snap pics of them for her.
My kids are cute.  Really Really cute.
I think its about the only thing I can brag about :)

Rae had roller-skates on - and had a run in with a bench : /

This is my favorite past time.
I have NEVER been able to watch any of my babes sleep.
To sneak in and peak over the railing is sure to wake them...but mount a camera and have a certain Brian McCune hook you up with the ability to see her on your phone from anywhere.
Its truly the best device ever.
And Ill be honest...most of my spying happens right outside her door...without the risk of waking her.
I am in love...with foscam:)

Im not even sure who this is, but it was in my gallery of pictures and I thought it was quite creative.
If I HAD to guess...Id say its Raegan.  The brown coat is a dead giveaway.

There is a love-love relationship here.
Wesly worships her Raegan so much so that she will allow Raegan to be the recipient of a 'rest the head on the shoulder' kind of cuddle.
And Raegan holds tight and hates it when its over.

This is what we did while Raegan played in her second game of spring soccer...and also while the crazy wind knocked out panels of our fence!
I can't believe they didn't cancel.

Raegan was so unbelievably excited for this event to take place.
THE WAX MUSEUM!
She choose Pocahontas...and I monitored all the research.  I found the costume.  I consoled her through all the report-writing.  I...
Ok...Ill stop there.
It turned out great.  She was happy with it all...and so in the end...I mean that literally...IN THE END...I was happy too:)
I guess my kids will learn REAL quick that if they want an over-the-top project done...
they are on their own!

Oh boy.
I mean...do I even need to say anything.

Proof is in the pudding.
Rae.  In charge of Wes.  Changing her diaper...which by the way is an incredible task in and of itself...lets just say I  may already be thinking about potty training her!  Its a flipping joke...literally.  She flips, flops, screams, hits, kicks, arches, and flips some more!  Raegan did it with great integrity.  Sometimes I have to bite a wooden spoon while changing her.  Anyhow...she got her pajamas on, and even read to her.
Right bottom pic = a treasure.
We have had the company of cousins these last few weeks.  Sweet little Madi Lou hung with us while I tried with all my heart and might to care for her as her own mother (a task I am not equipped to carry out:) and also had the pleasure to watch for just a short hour that handsome little fella they call CoCo.  I had to load them up in the car...and as you can see in the top right pic...Wes and CoCo had a chance to get acquainted with each other.  They stared at one another like this the whole ride.
Priceless.
